Animorphs: The Radio Drama, Uncensored

I know I told you all I was going to post more often, and this posting makes that official...since we usually leave more than a couple months between news updates. I figured today was a good day to throw up a news flash since Season 6 is about to get underway this evening! So, here goes the news:

First: Since you are reading this, you may notice that our website is back in black. We we will most likely drop off the interwebs on an annual basis. The issue is that our web space is paid for on a yearly basis, so it kinda sneaks up on us every year. Then it takes a few days for me and the webmaster to touch base on the issue and then a couple more to get the billing taken care of. Hopefully, we will get better at this as we get older...but don't count on it.

Two: As many of you may have heard on the Facebook group, DJs Matthew, CJ and myself have recently recorded a Summer Edition: Season 5.5555...... The Fringe of Civilization. We have been editing like crazy since laying down the raw material and will most likely be posting the episodes in the near future. The problems we are running into aren't very big, but they involve different schedules, dead phones, a DJ in Boston, and an inability to not try and make this season as epic as possible. Rest assured, we are aiming to post before Christmas this year (since a Summer Edition released in the winter was kinda lame). Also, keep your ears pealed for some news about a trailer for this season. Once we are getting close to posting the first episode we plan on releasing a teaser trailer to remind people that we are doing this thing...because more than likely you all will forget by the time we are done...just kidding.....but seriously.

MOVING ON!

C - As stated at the top of the page, Season 6 will be starting up this evening. Just to clarify, there was some confusion (I am talking about my own confusion here) about who the third DJ would be. I will not be reading this evening. One of my former residents and a fan of the show, who's name is also Kyle will be filling in on the Season Premiere. Also, those of you in the Facebook group have been sent an invite to the event and may have noticed that the DJs have chosen to read Book 23 - The Pretender. Since all of you know that last year the crew ended on Book 17, you have to be asking yourself, "Where did the other books go?" Well, I shall tell you. DJs Matthew, CJ and myself decided to steal the two books following Book 17 (Book 18 and Megamorphs 2) for ourselves over the summer and the DJs didn't want to kick of a new season with a Cassie book....and I am sure you all agree. SO tonight they will be bringing you the first installment of Book 23: The Pretender. A Tobias book with a rabbit on the cover...how can you go wrong? (They will find a way) So tune in tonight to http://kdup.up.edu at 10:00 PM (PCT) - 12:00 AM (PCT) and listen to the guys crack themselves up...because you know they will.

Animorphs rule!

The title of this season may (or may not) change. I have the unfortunate responsibility to inform you, the listener, that we may (or may not) have lost the majority of this season to the trash been of KDUPs main computer.

Let me explain: as many of you know, we are fast approaching the realization of the Terminator movies. Technology is getting to a point where it may (or may not) become self aware. Cyberdyne may have been a fictional AI, but it has become apparent that the KDUP computer has begun to develop a mind of its own. While it may (or may not) be hard to believe, I assure you that I may (or may not) be telling the truth here. All we know is that most of Season 5 was being stored under DJ Matthew's super secret administrative account (which, incidentally, provided him super-secret clearance, for those that care) and now those priceless bytes of comedic awesomeness have been "misplaced". The only explanation that I can think of, and my colleagues will (or will not) agree, is that the KDUP main computer, which will from this day forth be known as NEMESIS 1.0 (Notably Evil and Malevolent Equipment with Somewhat Intelligent Systems version 1.0), has systematically locked these shows deep within its technological bowels. NEMESIS 1.0 refused to comment on this lock down, no matter how many time DJ Matthew banged on its keyboard. The thing is pure evil and must eventually be destroyed.

However, the destruction of said evil will have to be postponed until we have finished reading all of the Animorph books....or until the point when it starts spouting rhetorical questions involving the post-apocalyptic reign of the Glorious Machine and all of its minions. At that point, no matter where we are in the series, drastic measures will have to be taken.

Anyway, until further notice these episodes may (or may not) be lost. We will, however, be putting Top Men on the case and DJ Jason will be heading up the investigation beginning with the interrogation of NEMESIS 1.0

Having stepped out from under the shadow of their predecessors, DJs Jason and Steven step into the drivers seat of Animorphs: The Radio Drama, Uncensored. After spending some hours figuring out which pedal does what, the duo realized that they once again, were lacking a third DJ. But, they did not let that stop them! NO sir (or madam)! Once they turned the key, started their engines, rolled down the window and WHOOPED! like mad men for a little bit...they pulled out of the driveway and ran into DJ Kyle...not the first Kyle....but the second Kyle.....yeah.

ANYWAYS! Check it out! Crank it up and let the good times roll!

Ha HAAA! For the first time ever, we are uploading RIGHT AFTER THE SHOW! Take that all you doubters. In your face all those that didn't think it was possible! I told you mom!

Gentemen. Ladies. I give you, the moment you have all been waiting for. Rachel and Tobias finally admit to themselves...that YES, there is a thing there. The rest of the show is pretty awesome as well. But that utter, and completely HAWKWARD moment makes the highlight reel (if there was one...no there is no work currently in progress on the highlight reel :) ). And right at the halfway point too. What are the odds!

Check these out! I was bored at work the other day and I thought, "You know, I should really find out what is going on in the world today?" So, naturally, I did a Google search for Animorphs: The Radio Drama, Uncensored...because that made sense at the time.

ANYWAY, not the point. The point is that I stumbled upon this great bit of "fandom" put up by fandomfrom3 at livejournal.com. These also reminded me that we had found another batch of these icons earlier this year, but I am still waiting to here back from the creator before I give props :).

I have asked, and the fan in question has given us permission to use these icons throughout our website for an undetermined length of time, so I will be adding them here and there. You may think that they are randomly placed. However, that is just an insanely well thought out ruse to throw you off of the fact that each and every one of these quotes being placed was put in that EXACT location for a very PRECISE reason! Fortunately, I will now be using my memory erasing device on all of you so that you will not remember me telling you that little tid-bit. ha-ha-haaaa.

This just in! My paragraph above was a joke! Heh heh. Get it? No? Oh well, they are randomly placed without any thought what-so-ever. Trust me.

Oh yes, it has finally been created. A special thanks to Kyle Richardson for unlocking the secrets of Google Maps! Nobody else coulda thought of that....I know I didn't.

Feast your eyes on the epic monument to the first book! Taken from the classic Rachel quote: "We are off the map of weirdness at this point!" Transformed into that slightly less than classic ARDU quote: "You sir! Are now on the map of weirdness!" Morphed into the even less classic, but far more often heard: "No, the Map of Weirdness is not up yet. The plan is to do something awesome....but, we just haven't had the time....sorry :(" (sad face included in quote) Has FINALLY changed to the soon to be coined: "Here it is! The Map of Weirdness!"

Wow, this is a glorious moment in ARDU his-...Nay!...The WORLD's history! And this started with the people on our Facebook group! The hopes of the DJs of Animorphs: The Radio Drama; Uncensored would state, "I hope that this map evolves into evidence...picture evidence, that support for this series is still out there.......world wide!" if those hopes could speak. Who knows? It could happen. We get enough dots on a map that literally say, "There is in fact someone, or two, people...right......there! That think Animorphs are awesome!" and maybe the higher ups will figure it out and tell themselves, "You know, a movie might not be a long shot after all." Just saying, could be cool.

So, after checking out the Map of Weirdness. Why don't you go ahead and call into the show sometime (503-943-7121). You don't have to tell us who you are. Heck, in the spirit of the books, you don't even have to tell us where you live! Just let the world know that Animorphs rule!
